plots grandfathered in according to guidelines prior to 2009.
Responsibilitiesof members are to attend all meetings and taking an
active part in them.We ask that you participate in any activities that
would benefit the cemetery, including clean up days. All Members have
the right and are encouraged to attend, and vote at, all public
meetings. All members may be eligible to serve as an officer or serve
on any board of this committee..
The First
General Baptist Church Cemetery relies on volunteer and donations to
provide for the upkeep of the cemetery. There are no paid positions and
our only expenses are for office supplies, postal expenses, a bank safe
deposit box for important documents, occasional legal fees and lawn
care. These are paid for using the donations and maintenance fees. All
other services are a result volunteer and donated services, even this
website is donated to provide information about the cemetery. Each year
we see our membership decrease as they take their place among the
others in the cemetery that are waiting on the return of the
Lord, with that mindset we must remain committed to continue providing
the resources necessary to make our cemetery a place that honors the
memory of our loved ones.
